Notable Cuban landscape. He born in Havana on March 4, 1874. Former Professor of San Alejandro. He was Director of the National Museum of Fine Arts, as director and curator within this institution lasted many years, so signing an important legacy to the development of the arts in Cuba. Rodríguez Morey was also a member of several cultural institutions in the field National. In 1891 he traveled to Europe to continue his training in drawing and painting, settling in Florence, where he continued his studies for improvement in the Professional School of Decorative Arts, of where he graduated as a painter, stage designer, and the Academy of Fine Arts in that city.
